In Memory of Tazzie 🐾

Tazzie came into my life 16½ years ago from San Diego. He was a beautiful silver tabby and a purebred cat, but from the very beginning, he made it clear that he was anything but ordinary.

The breeder told me that when I brought him home, he would probably hide in a corner for a couple of days. Instead, he came out of his crate like a little Tasmanian devil! That is how he got his name, Tazzie.

Tazzie was a wonderful companion and truly became my family. He was my car companion and loved going places with me. One of his favorite places was the lake. I had a big, enclosed deck just for him, and he loved spending time out there. He never tried to jump or escape. He would simply sit in his chair, relax, and enjoy being outside and watching the lake. That was Tazzie: happy just being with me and enjoying life.

I was blessed to have him by my side for 16½ years.

Later in his life, Tazzie developed cherry eye, and unfortunately, his surgery did not go as we had hoped. That was when I met the wonderful doctors who became such an important part of our lives. For the last 3½ years of Tazzie’s life, they helped me care for him and gave him the love, compassion, and medical care he deserved.

I will forever be grateful to them for helping me care for my precious boy and for giving us those extra years together.

Tazzie, I miss you more than words can say. I miss my little car companion, my lake buddy, and that beautiful silver tabby who came into my life and never left my heart.

Thank you for 16½ wonderful years. You were so much more than a cat. You were my companion, my family, and a piece of my heart.

Run free, my sweet Tazzie. Until we meet again. ❤️🐾
