Lady was such a sweet loving dog. We were very fortunate to have had her for the past 11 years while living in Texas and Washington.
We adopted her from a family in Bertram, Tx on Feb 13, 2016. She was a young 3 year old girl who was so happy to be with us when we got her home. She immediately started running up and down the wraparound porch with our other sweet dog Roshan. They had a great time being companions and on adventures together running around our 11 acre property. She loved to swim in our pond.
She was an incredible dog who loved to travel with us to many places around the country. She was very compliant and loved to greet anyone who walked past her. She particularly liked women more than men when greeting them.
She was loved by many in our neighborhood during the last 6 years of her life. Everyone wanted to stop us on our walks to pet her and give her treats.
During her last 6 months she was experiencing difficulties in walking but she insisted on her daily morning and afternoon walks. We accommodated her needs by getting her a special harness and moved on to some wheels. She was a real trooper in that she was willing to try anything so she can go on her walks.
The last 2 weeks were rough for her as she couldn’t move around without any assistance. Due to the lack of movement she became unable to walk and it was then we realized her “quality of life” was no longer there.
Sadly on August 2, 2026, we had to let Lady go. She is now with our other dog Roshan who since passed away in March 2019.
