College of Veterinary Medicine Home Pet Loss Hotline

The loss of bubbles on October 9, 2006 has took a toll on our family. Although we miss her, we know she is not suffering anymore. She lived a long and happy life. She suffered from kidney disease and we did everything we could to prolong her life. We had her 11 of the 13 years that she lived. We found bubbles out in the desert in Niland, California in April of 1996. She was left for coyote bait by some uncaring pet owners, to say it nicely. She loved to chase bugs, to catch snow flakes, and she loved the water. She would go right in if we let her, no matter how cold it was. We are blessed to have been given a friend and family member such as her and she will forever be in our hearts and mind. We have her here with us at home surrounded by angels and a picture of her.

And for those of you who know what I mean by this, we like our pets more than we like most humans for the unconditional love they give to you and they are not judgmental.

Sincerely Maxine and Jerry T.
